A New Frontier for Idaho Agriculture On The Rise

A New Frontier for Idaho Agriculture On The Rise
Idaho’s fastest growing agricultural industry might surprise you. No, it’s not potatoes—it’s wine.
In the past year, two new American Viticulture Areas were approved in Idaho, which indicates continued growth in years to come. Wine-focused media are also calling Idaho “the new frontier for Wine” and “the best new real estate investment in wine.”
Currently, wine has a $170 million dollar annual impact on Idaho’s economy. The 1,300 acres of grapes produces roughly 225,000 cases of wine each year from more than 50 wineries. All of these numbers continue to rise.
