All Aboard the Thunder Mountain Train!

Looking for a different kind of Idaho escape, a little adventure to break you out of your vacation routine?
Thunder Mountain Train Ride fits the bill.

Thunder Mountain offers numerous train adventure packages.[/caption]With three different fare levels designed to fit any budget, the Thunder Mountain Train Ride lets you relive days of yore as you relax and take in the entrancing, Idaho countryside between Horseshoe Bend and Banks.

Choose between Executive Class, First Class, and Standard class fares for the amenities that suit your needs, and from basic scenery excursions to something a little more lively.

Have kids? Keep them (and yourselves) entertained on the Wild West Train Ride with classic, tongue-in-cheek melodrama between outlaws, lawmen, and not-so helpless prairie damsels. The actors interact with the riders and you’ll laugh, boo, and cheer them all the way to Banks.

Eager for intrigue? Discover the suspenseful Mystery Dinner Theatre ride, presented by the famous River City Entertainment troop. With exciting twists and turns and a white linen/black napkin gourmet meal, you will be entertained in style as the culprit is ferreted out.

Perhaps something a touch more relaxing is up your alley? River and Rails is a scenic and leisurely ride along the Payette River, facilitating a calming peace as you rest and take in the gently passing scene of the river.

Between October and December, The Thunder Mountain Line's Montour Route opens. Beginning in Horseshoe Bend and traveling to the old ranching town of Montour, these rides are 1.5 hours round trip and are often used for special events like Thunder Mountain’s Pumpkin Liners and North Pole Express.

Various other packages are offered throughout the year, you can even rent out individual cars for private events! For more details, please visit:
