Weiser Fiddle Festival 2013

This celebration of fiddle music always takes place the third full week in June. This year, things will kick off on Sunday June 16th and run through Saturday night.

The hub of the Festival activity is Bluegrass Village City Park, located between East 3rd and East 4th Streets, next to the Courthouse, in Weiser, ID. The park is filled to capacity with fine craft and merchandise vendors. The food court, called “Fiddle Vittles Road,”  can satisfy the appetite of nearly anyone!

Vendors will be serving BBQ, Mexican food, Chinese and Japanese fare, Buffalo Burgers, Prime Rib Sandwiches, Brats, Polish Sausage, Curly Fries, Baked Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Teriyaki, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Indian Fry Bread…you better arrive hungry!

Enjoy lots of shade and an old-fashioned atmosphere as you enjoy the continuous entertainment on stage. Live music begins around noon on Tuesday and goes until around 9:30 each evening through Saturday. Bluegrass Music will be featured more heavily on Friday and Saturday’s line-up.

Coming to the Fiddle Festival with your children? A highlight for the youngsters is the carnival, running Wednesday through Saturday and located at Memorial Park, a few blocks directly north of City Park. Discount tickets are available through Tuesday of Fiddle Week for All-You-Can-Ride wristbands (a significant savings over purchase at carnival box office).

One of Idaho’s largest and finest parades begins at noon Saturday.  Don’t miss it - the number of entrants has more than doubled in the last two years! The Battle of the Bluegrass Bands takes place on Saturday afternoon right after the parade.  All this and much more awaits you at the Old Time Fiddle Festival.
