You're A Good Man Charlie Brown Presented by Company of Fools

"In the book of life, the answers aren't in the back." - Charlie Brown

Based on the beloved Peanuts comic strip, this updated classic enjoyed a successful run on Broadway about a decade ago and remains, like the comic strip itself, a well-loved family favorite. The story line is comprised of memorable moments from the life of Charlie Brown—from Valentine’s Day to baseball season and some of the other challenges a young boy faces when his dog is still his best friend.

From wild optimism to heartbreaking despair, this charming musical combines the adventures of everybody’s favorite underdog with those of his friends (both human and non-human) in the arc of a single day—from the bright uncertain morning to a hopeful starlit evening. This is a great show for the family to enjoy together.

The show runs from December 12 - 30. Tickets are $30 Adult; $20 Senior (62 and over); $10 Student (18 and under). You can buy tickets online at the Company of Fools website.

Who are your Favorite 'Peanuts' Characters?

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" began as a series of songs composed by Peanuts fan Clark Gesner, whom loved the comic strip's characters. He struggled to get permission to publish his songs until he sent a tape to Peanuts creator Charles M. Schultz. The cartoonist quickly approved Gesner's songs. However, it was producer Arthur Whitelaw who encouraged his friend Gesner to create a musical.

So, what Peanuts characters do you like or relate to? Is it shy and struggling Charlie Brown, responsible musician Schroeder, perhaps blanket-carrying Linus. I know my favorite is the silent and faithful Snoopy.
