Teton Valley Great Snow Fest

Driggs is a truly stunning site in the deep winter. Snow covers everything and gives a majestic air to the landscape. Located in the Teton Valley Idaho, Driggs sits at the western base of the Teton Range in eastern Idaho. The Teton Valley is comprised of the towns of Victor, Driggs, and Tetonia, Idaho, and Alta, Wyoming. Some of us say Teton Valley offers "the best of both states" - stunning views, incredible snow, and the friendliest folks you've ever met.

In fact, the snow and good humor is so plentiful that Driggs now celebrates this time of year with the Teton Valley Great Snow Fest, taking place the weekend of January 18 through 21. The festival brings joy and excitement to the hundreds of visitors that come into the valley for this fun winter weekend!

Activities at the Teton Valley Snow Fest

For 2013, expect to see SnowScapes - a week of snow sculpting in the Driggs City Center, an ice sculpting demonstration, multi-day skijoring (a winter sport where a person on skis is pulled by a horse, a dog/dogs or a motor vehicle) and snowcross competitions (is a racing sport involving specialized high performance snowmobiles on natural or artificially-made tracks consisting of tight turns, banked corners, steep jumps and obstacles), a snow bike race, a mini hockey tournament, luge, snow bike, snow plane and snow kite demonstrations, and the infamous Snow Ball!

If you plan on attending Snow Fest next year, won't you consider lodging at a fine Idaho bed and breakfast? There are several in the area. An added advantage: Innkeepers always know the scoop on local events and festivals; they can help you plan your Snow Fest to be the best yet!
