Cassia County Fair

The Cassia County Fair is a collection of carnival rides, livestock, farm and garden exhibits. These events convey the county’s love of agriculture and define as well as unite the community.

Held August 13-18th in Burley Idaho, the Cassia County Fair and Rodeo is located at 1101 Elba Avenue - at the fairgrounds, of course!

Cassia County Fair 2012

The Cassia County Fair has all the traditional elements: 4H competitions and events, free entertainment and live music, exhibits on local business and art and a carnival. If you throw in horse racing, a rodeo and a parade you have the recipe for a wonderful day of country culture and entertainment!

The Rodeo

Held on August 16, 17 & 18th, the PRCA Rodeo tickets are $8 & $10. Three nights of wild rodeo events like bull riding, bucking broncos, calf wrestling and roping and barrel racing. There are deals and specials every night. Entertaining rodeo personalities Zeb Bell and the T-Bar Rodeo Stock will be hosting.

County Fair Concert

Tuesday night, August 14th, the Cassia County Fairgrounds will host country singer/songwriter David Nail. Tickets are $16 and $20.Born and raised in Kennett, Missouri David Nail signed a recording deal with MCA Nashville in 2007. A pair of singles from his first project, "Turning Home" and "Red Light," entered the Top 20 in Billboard's country chart. The album, I'm About to Come Alive, was released in August 2009. Nail followed his success with widespread touring before entering the studio in early 2011. He pre-released "Let It Rain," which hit number 11 just before the release of his second album, The Sound of a Million Dreams, in November of 2011. The title track was issued as the album's second single.

What is your favorite thing about the Fair?

Have you attended the Cassia County Fair before or do you plan to go this year? What makes Cassia's Fair unique?

Even if you don't have plan to visit Cassia, what was your favorite thing to do at the county fair when you were a kid? I loved the corn dogs and the Ferris wheel.
